How to improve your streaming with your GeForce RTX
NVIDIA has put together some tips to help us find the perfect setup with your GeForce RTX and increase the quality of your Livestream.
Live broadcasts or livestreams have become increasingly popular in the world of video games and entertainment in general, and range from casual games to the transmission of championships on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube. With that in mind, Alexandre Ziebert, Technical Marketing Manager for NVIDIA in Latin America, has prepared some tips for GeForce RTX video card users to achieve the best possible stream using all the features of NVIDIA cards and the NVENC encoder.
1. Using NVIDIA Broadcast
NVIDIA Broadcast is a software that all GeForce RTX video card users can use to professionalize their broadcasts with great features that complete live quality and provide a better structure for the viewer. This software has great features like: microphone noise removal, virtual background, auto framing and video noise removal. GeForce RTX graphics cards are back in stock thanks to NVIDIA's "Restocked for Gaming" campaign. You can check availability and pricing on the NVIDIA website for these setup tips: Peru
2. Recommended settings in OBS Studio
OBS Studio is one of the main programs used to set up and make live broadcasts. NVIDIA worked directly with this platform to create a new encoder implementation, NVENC. And thus provide GeForce consumers with a better streaming experience. Here are some tips to set up OBS and get a better livestream:
In the “output” tab within the OBS settings, select the “advanced” option and choose the NVIDIA NVENC H264 New encoder to take advantage of this new implementation.
In the “keyframe range” option, enter 2, which is the ideal number for Twitch and YouTube streams.
The option “B-Frames Maximum” should be set to 2. The encoder can compare one frame with the other and in this way it can offer the best image for its transmission.
Use Quality or Best Quality mode.
Leave the “Psychovisual Attunement” filter checked.
Remember to run OBS with admin rights, this will give it a slightly higher priority, avoiding possible dropped frames in the stream due to encoder delay.

3. Check your internet speed to set up your stream
It is always very important to know what your Internet upload speed is in order to configure your transmission in the best way. To obtain this information you can consult free sites such as speedtest.net. Knowing the speed you can configure your live to run without bottlenecks or crashes and thus prevent the image from being distorted for the viewer.
In the following table, you can see the connection speed required to use the main resolutions and frame rates per second when setting up your stream:
