The Lord of the Rings: Gollum launches this week with DLSS 3 and a couple of new DLSS 2 games

NVIDIA announced that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum™ will be released on May 25 with support for DLSS 3 and many other NVIDIA technologies. Two additional DLSS 2 titles are also available now: Firmament and Togges.

The definitive experience of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

Based on the books by JRR Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum™ is a story-based stealth adventure game from Daedalic Entertainment, creators of Deponia and many other highly regarded titles.

Available May 25, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum™ launches with support for DLSS 3, NVIDIA DLAA, NVIDIA Reflex, and ray-traced shadows and reflections.

Multiply performance with DLSS 3

En The Lord of the Rings: Gollum™, GeForce RTX 40 series gamers will be able to multiply the performance with DLSS 3. At 4K, the GeForce RTX 4090's performance increases 3,5 times, allowing for 169 FPS with each setting maxed out and all ray options tracing enabled. The GeForce RTX 4080 can hit 123 FPS, a 3,8X increase; the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti sees 3.9X acceleration, for 100 FPS gameplay; the GeForce RTX 4070 gets a 3.8X boost, giving it a 79 FPS result in our benchmark.

On GeForce RTX 40 series laptops, DLSS 3 improves performance by an average of 2.5X at 2560x1440 with maximum settings and ray tracing enabled. At 1080p, DLSS 3 helps all RTX 40-series laptop GPUs run at over 90 FPS, with the flagship GeForce RTX 4090 laptop GPU topping 200 FPS!

Improve image quality with DLAA

With frame rates this fast on many GPUs, GeForce RTX gamers may want to improve image quality with NVIDIA DLAA, an AI-based anti-aliasing mode that uses the same technology developed for DLSS. DLAA uses a native resolution image to maximize image quality, and in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum™ the DLAA can be combined with DLSS Frame Generation for high image quality and excellent performance.

Responsive gameplay with NVIDIA Reflex

For more responsive gameplay, gamers with GeForce RTX or GeForce GTX 900 Series and newer GPUs can enable NVIDIA SLR. This reduces the system latency so that actions happen faster, making single player titles more responsive and fun, and increasing your competitiveness in multiplayer matches. In The Lord of the Rings: Gollum™, with Reflex enabled, system latency is reduced by up to 56%.

More games with DLSS

The DLSS momentum continues to grow, with additional DLSS games including:
