NVIDIA announces major new features at Computex 2025

Mexico City, Tuesday, May 20, 2025 - Today at Computex 2025, NVIDIA shared several important announcements, including that DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation is now available in over 125 games and apps, with 10 new titles launching soon. It was also announced that path tracing and DLSS Ray Reconstruction are coming to DOOM: The Dark Ages in June; a new update of Portal with RTX is now available and NVIDIA has teamed up with ModDB to launch a mod contest featuring RTX Remix, which will give away $50,000 in prizes.

Additionally, GeForce RTX 5060 GPUs for PCs and laptops will be available starting May 19, along with a new Game Ready Driver launching simultaneously. Some of NVIDIA's key announcements at Computex 2025 include:

More than 125 games and apps with DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation available

Since the launch of GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards and DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation in late January, initial support was available for 75 games and applications. By March, NVIDIA surpassed 100 supported titles, and now there are more than 125. This milestone was reached two years earlier than DLSS 3, making DLSS 4 NVIDIA's fastest-adopted gaming technology ever.

DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation It generates up to three additional frames for every traditionally rendered frame, working in conjunction with the rest of the DLSS technologies to increase the frame rate by up to 8x. This performance boost on GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards and laptops allows you to play at maximum visual settings and high resolutions while maintaining extraordinary frame rates.

The new games and apps announced with DLSS 4 support are:

  • crimson desert
  • F1® 25
  • FBC: Firebreak
  • Dune: Awakening
  • inZOI
  • LIGHT OF MOTIRAM
  • MindsEye
  • RoadCraft
  • Splitgate 2
  • WUCCHANG: Fallen Feathers
  • Chaos Enscape and Autodesk VRED

DOOM: The Dark Ages will receive path tracing and DLSS Ray Reconstruction in June.

Last week, DOOM: The Dark Ages launched, offering GeForce RTX players the ultimate PC experience thanks to NVIDIA's technical collaboration with id Software. The game debuted with native ray tracing technologies from the idTech8 engine, accelerated by GeForce RTX RT Cores, DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, and NVIDIA Reflex.

A PC-exclusive update is coming in June introducing path tracing, which takes ray tracing lighting quality to the next level with more detailed reflections and better light interaction with game objects. For optimal performance, NVIDIA Spatial Hash Radiance Cache (SHaRC) technology is used, while Shader Execution Reordering further accelerates performance on GeForce RTX GPUs. To maximize the visual quality of path tracing, traditional denoisers are replaced by DLSS Ray Reconstruction, an artificial intelligence-based technique that significantly improves stability, level of detail, and visual fidelity.

Portal with RTX: Update with DLSS 4 and RTX Neural Radiance Cache now available.

Portal with RTX is an example of what can be achieved with NVIDIA RTX Remix, it is a reimagined version of the Valve classic with full ray tracing that accurately models the physical properties of light. Lighting, shadows, reflections, refractions and more respond realistically thanks to ray rendering and improved assets, elevating visual effects to another level.

A new update now available on Steam improves Portal with RTX's neural rendering, delivering improved performance and better image quality. The game now includes native DLSS 4 integration with Multi Frame Generation, as well as updates to the latest version of the DLSS Frame Generation and DLSS Ray Reconstruction models, with new transformer-based architectures. Also introduced RTX Neural Radiance Cache (NRC), the world’s first neural shader that uses AI to accurately calculate indirect lighting.

NVIDIA RTX Remix Mod Contest: Enter and Win Up to $50,000!

In collaboration with ModDB, NVIDIA is launching the NVIDIA RTX Remix Mod Contest, featuring one of the largest prize pools in modding history.

  • The winner of Best Overall Mod Remix will receive a cash prize of $20,000.
  • Three other winners (Best Use of RTX, Most Complete Gameplay Experience, and Community Favorite Mod) will each win $10,000.

NVIDIA is inviting its community to participate, and starting July 18th, they can vote on ModDB for their favorite mod in the “Community Choice” category. The winner of this category will also receive $10,000, and all winners will receive six months of GeForce NOW Ultimate (subject to regional availability).

To start, an RTX Remix-compatible game is chosen from the ModDB compatibility tracker (please read all contest rules and requirements), and after the mod submission period closes on July 18, the NVIDIA and ModDB teams will evaluate each entry. Winners will be announced during the ModDB ... Gamescom 2025 in August.

GeForce RTX 5060 launched and new Game Ready Driver

GeForce RTX 5060 GPUs for desk and laptops are now available, along with the latest GeForce Game Ready Driver, required for users with a GeForce RTX 5060 GPU (desktop or laptop).

This new driver also adds support for Dune: Awakening and F1® 25, both of which launched with DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. It also adds support for the Portal with RTX update with DLSS 4 and the NARAKA: BLADEPOINT full-trace update.

GeForce RTX 5060 desktop graphics cards start at $299 USD, available in standard and factory-overclocked versions from brands including ASUS, Colorful, Gainward, Galaxy, GIGABYTE, INNO3D, MSI, Palit, PNY, and ZOTAC. They will also be available in desktop builds from system builders.

These GPUs deliver twice the performance of the previous generation (RTX 4060) in games supporting DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, and an even bigger boost for those upgrading from GPUs like the GeForce GTX 1660 or GeForce RTX 2060.

GeForce RTX 5060 laptops start at $1,099 USD, with models as thin as 14.9 mm available from all major OEMs. These laptops deliver 4x the performance of the previous generation thanks to NVIDIA Blackwell and DLSS XNUMX, with longer battery life thanks to Blackwell innovations and Max-Q technologies.
