ASUS presents its BTF line with hidden connectors

The innovative Advanced BTF (Back to the Future) solution is a simple, clean approach to PC building that keeps cables out of sight

ASUS has announced the ROG BTF and TUF Gaming BTF White ecosystems, each designed to hide cables so users can achieve a clean, organized aesthetic with PCs built for a wide variety of scenarios. This innovation is realized through a high-power PCIe® connector on graphics cards compatible with the high-power graphics card slot on BTF motherboards.

BTF vs. Advanced BTF

The ASUS ecosystem of BTF components gives users many options when planning a build with hidden connectors. With the combination of a BTF chassis and a BTF motherboard like the TUF Gaming B760M-BTF WiFi D4, users can hide all cables that connect directly to the motherboard, including cables that power it, connect 2,5x SATA drives .XNUMX inches, connect the case fans and connect the front panel buttons and I/O ports. But that's not all in a modern PC equipped with a powerful graphics card. GPUs typically require more power than the PCIe x16 slot can supply, so connecting a PCIe power cable is necessary. For users who prefer to hide that cable as well, ASUS offers the Advanced BTF approach. Advanced BTF motherboards include a high-power graphics card slot ready to supply all the power a BTF graphics card needs. Users will need a graphics card with a high-power PCIe connector to build an Advanced BTF PC.

The new norm for shop windows

The well-known unidirectional design of ASUS motherboards has served customers well for decades, but it's time for a new approach. For too long, PC manufacturers have resorted to every trick possible to keep their cables clean and tidy. It's time to hide those cables completely. With the ROG Maximus Z790 Hero BTF and TUF Gaming Z790-BTF WiFi motherboards, users have two high-performance hidden connector options ready to simplify their build process and leave them with a clean, professional-looking PC. The ROG Strix GeForce RTX™ 4090 BTF Edition and TUF Gaming GeForce RTX™ 4070 Ti SUPER offer complementary style and exceptional gaming performance, while the ROG Hyperion GR701 BTF Edition and TUF Gaming GT302 ARGB provide the compatibility that users They need two different color combinations. Images and more details about the specifications of the new ASUS BTF ecosystem can be found in the Edge Up Buyer's Guide,  visit the ASUS BTF homepage to see the first images of each series.

Two chassis options for a BTF build

For the most part, standard PC components will work with a BTF motherboard. Users won't need specialized CPU coolers, power supplies, SSDs or RAM, but they will need a compatible chassis. Standard motherboard trays do not allow access to the connectors on a BTF motherboard. For out-of-the-box compatibility, ASUS offers two options. The first is the ROG Hyperion GR701 BTF Edition. A special edition of our award-winning chassis, the ROG Hyperion GR701 BTF Edition takes the premium feature set of the original and adds perfectly positioned motherboard tray cutouts so users can access their BTF motherboard connectors. Like the original, it has exceptional cooling performance thanks to its double 420mm radiator support, four 140mm fans and an integrated fan hub. It offers plenty of space for even the most powerful graphics cards and makes the mounting process easy with a 34mm deep cable management chamber and 46mm wide routing channel.  To give the TUF Gaming Z790-BTF WiFi a perfect home, ASUS introduces a new TUF Gaming chassis: the TUF Gaming GT302 ARGB. This stunning white mid-tower chassis is BTF motherboard-ready, and offers a host of cooling upgrades and innovative features ready to simplify the build process. The TUF Gaming GT302 ARGB includes four 140mm ARGB fans. Exceptionally thick units (28mm thick) ensure top-notch airflow and static pressure. Since many manufacturers today opt for AIO liquid CPU coolers, ASUS debuts with the GT302 a new feature that greatly simplifies the installation process of an AIO: the entire top panel is removable so that users can easily install and clean the radiator.  The GT302 also offers a compelling balance between size and component compatibility. As a mid-sized tower, it doesn't require as much desktop space as the ROG Hyperion BTF, but can still comfortably accommodate ATX motherboards and high-end graphics cards with substantial cooling solutions.

Many more BTF chassis options from BTF Alliance

As proud as ASUS is of the look of the ROG Hyperion GR701 BTF Edition and TUF Gaming GT302 ARGB, we know that builders like to have a full menu of options when choosing a chassis for their next PC. That's why we've partnered with many of the PC case industry's biggest brands to create the BTF Alliance. Through this partnership, users will be able to choose from a wide range of PC cases that are fully compatible with ASUS BTF motherboards.Users will start to see these chassis options launch in the first quarter of 2024. In January, Thermaltake, Inwin, and Phanteks will get the party started with cases including the Thermaltake Ceres 330 TG ARGB, Inwin F5, and Inwin D5. In February, Cooler Master will introduce the MasterBox 600 and Corsair will launch its 6500 series. Silverstone plans to launch a SETA A2 series of BTF-ready PC chassis in the first quarter of 2024. Be quiet! fans, Lian Li and Aerocool You will be pleased to know that all of these manufacturers also have BTF case designs in the works. Look out for their announcements in the coming weeks.
