Ready for performance with AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors

An advanced AI PC relies heavily on its graphics card to accelerate AI workflows, but when users look at performance holistically, there is no doubt that the CPU and motherboard play a critical role in time to establish the foundations of construction. For a user's gaming ambitions, creative endeavors, and professional pursuits, AMD Ryzen™ 9000 Series desktop processors unleash a system's maximum performance.

Manufacturer testing indicates that these chips deliver an astonishing 16% improvement in instructions per cycle (IPC) compared to their latest generation CPUs. With their powerful combination of single-threaded and multi-threaded performance, AMD Ryzen 9000 Series desktop processors excel in any workload. Whether users are exporting a long video, competing against the best in an online esports game, or rendering a complex animation, these processors have the power to ensure users can stay agile while working and playing.

The AM5 socket takes a second lap on the track

AMD Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs slot into the AM5 socket, allowing X670E motherboard owners to upgrade their current systems with little more than a BIOS update. However, for those building a new system today, an X870E or X870 motherboard is the ideal choice, and there are plenty of reasons for X670E owners to consider an upgrade.

The difference between the X870E and X870 motherboards is that the higher-end, more feature-rich options for an AMD Ryzen 9000 Series CPU use the X870E chipset. Equipped with DDR5 support, PCIe 5.0 connectivity for graphics and SSD, two integrated USB4® ports, and support for the latest CPU and memory overclocking refinements, these motherboards are ready to push a new CPU to the limits. Since X870E motherboards have two chipsets, they have more PCIe lanes to work with. On the ProArt X870E-Creator WiFi, for example, they get to work with a 10 Gbps Marvell® Ethernet port.

Take the initiative with smart controls

An ASUS AI PC offers easy one-click options to optimize system performance. With ASUS X870E and
  • AI Overclocking: For developers looking to easily optimize their CPU, ASUS offers AI Overclocking. Powered by extensive research and characterization of the performance potential of thousands of real CPUs in our test labs, this tool boosts CPU clocks with just one click. AI Overclocking's sophisticated intelligence also monitors the efficiency of a CPU cooler and changes in a system's operating environment to adjust its parameters over time for the best performance with a system's unique set of components.
  • Dynamic OC Switcher: For more performance-savvy users, ASUS offers Dynamic OC Switcher. This feature automatically switches between integrated AMD Precision Boost Overdrive and a manual all-core overclock to give users the best performance for the task at hand.
  • Core Flex: Users can also take advantage of Core Flex to push the limits further than ever by controlling clock, power, and temperature. In its simplest form, users can maximize the base clock during lighter loads and set breakpoints to gradually reduce the CPU core frequency as temperature or current increases. The system is extremely adaptable and supports multiple user-controlled functions that can manipulate power, current and temperature limits independently so users can adjust CPU performance at will.
  • AI Cooling II: ASUS smart technology is also ready to optimize cooling. AI Cooling II offers users a simple tool to achieve effective airflow under load and quiet operation during light tasks, even for builders who opt for higher RPM case fans. It uses CPU monitoring information and data from a brief stress test to calculate the lowest fan speed required to effectively cool a system, while minimizing noise levels. This fan control system can reduce system fan noise by up to 5,7 dB under sustained loads.
  • AI Networking II: Through AI Networking II, an AI-enabled PC can optimize network settings to ensure smooth online gaming, uninterrupted creativity, and seamless sharing. Integrated into the Armory Crate app, AI Networking II uses AI-enhanced identification and hardening technology to ensure faster, smarter network optimization. The new Traffic Monitor feature tracks current WiFi channel usage and makes it easy to switch to a less congested channel.
