AMD Ryzen 9000 series comes out on July 31, but no pricing yet

Finally, the release date for the new AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors is July 31. However, prices were not mentioned during the presentation. The new processors will be available in stores soon, and some retailers in other countries are already offering pre-sales. These processors promise superior performance compared to the 7000 series.

First processors to be launched: Ryzen 9 9950X, Ryzen 7 9900X, Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X

Although the launch price has not yet been announced, technical information for the new processors is now available. During the presentation, the Ryzen 9 9950X, with 16 cores and 32 threads, was not compared to any Intel processor. Instead, the Ryzen 9 9900X, with 12 cores and 24 threads, was compared directly to the Core i9-14900K, showing a 2% to 41% improvement in performance in some productivity loads.

Ryzen 9 9900X Performance

In gaming, the 9900X demonstrates superior performance, outperforming the Intel processor in a range of 4% to 22%, which has presented problems without a definitive solution.

Other processors were also compared: the 14700K versus the 9700X and the 14600K versus the 9600X.

According to AMD's internal testing, the new generation has a significant advantage in certain loads (such as Handbrake) thanks to special instruction sets that Intel has eliminated in its processors in previous generations.

AMD also compared the 9700X to the Ryzen 7 5800X3D

Based on internal testing, the 9700X delivers 12% higher average performance than the 5800X3D while consuming less power. The 9700X will have a TDP of 65W, compared to the factory TDP of the 5800X3D, which is 105W.
